This modern midwest wedding is to die for! We love these photos from Ira Lippke Studios that capture the elegance and simplicity of this black tie wedding. The bridesmaids wore Elle & Jae rhinestone chain belts from Bella Bridesmaids in Chicago, which paired perfectly with their sheer Jim Hjelm Occasions dresses in periwinkle.
From Ira Lippke: Whitney & Matthew’s wedding celebration, beautifully coordinated by Paulette Wolf Events, was tucked away at the Barnett family home, surrounded by forest. The families’ love of modern art resonated in the theme of the wedding, “I woke up wanting to kiss you”. This sweet avowal was inspired by one of Tracey Emin‘s famous neon signs and was lit up behind the DJ booth during the reception.
The ceremony was held inside a minimalist transparent tent that allowed the surrounding natural elements to be in clear view. This naturally tranquil setting was such an amazing place to witness Whitney & Matthew’s matrimony.
Whitney made such a beautiful bride in her classic white Vera Wang gown, especially against the lush greenery and yellow wildflowers that peppered the property.
HMR Designs used primarily white flowers in their arrangements which added a softness to the modern decor and we loved Frost Lighting‘s dynamic transformation of the reception that created such a fun space to celebrate. The Chicago Praise Ministries Gospel Choir took things up a notch with their uplifting harmonies and Whitney’s brother, DJ Kevin Barnett, kept the celebration alive for hours more at the after-party.
